In one of the recent episodes of the Drink Champs, N.O.R.E & DJ EFN are joined by Fat Joe, Lenny S, Jadakiss and Styles P where they discussed Eminem and JAY Z’s “Renegade” record, Verzuz Battle against DMX and Busta Rhymes and Eminem’s impact on Hip-Hop and the world. Fat Joe says:
“I don’t know who wanna battle Eminem. I don’t think.. Nobody can f**k with Eminem. NOBODY. DMX? Nah. He got biggest hits in the world. One of the greatest rappers of all time. Legendary. Iconic. Superhero and everything I’m saying is understatement. He’s bigger than that. But there is something about that white boy and his fans.. Naah bro. You wanna see some crack in the Internet? He’s gonna crash, n***a.”
“What I’m trying to tell you is that… Eminem was hot when we came out. His fans from day one are all 40-45 years old. These white people teach their kids that are 10 years old ‘Eminem is the greatest.’ And when you go in Airport, 10 years old playing his s**t like 45. Like the song just came out. It’s big difference with this white boy. This generation keep teaching their kids that he’s THE MAN. They teach that ‘Christopher Colombus discovered America and Eminem is the greatest’.”
“Eminem is the only guy who sent me ‘Lean Back’ remix and he sent me that verse 30 different times with different tone, lighter tone, he would make up his mind into 30 different takes of verses. Same verse but different flows. High or low. I don’t know what to tell you, this dude is such a perfectionist.”
