In a new interview with Sway In The Morning, Eminem and Paul Rosenberg talked about quarantine, Michael Jackson, donating for DJs, Juice WRLD, Dr. Dre and many more. Em also shouted out Kxng Crooked and his podcast, Crook’s Corner.
“This s**t [quarantine] sucks. I’ve been writing, working out and the fact that there is no sport on TV is really bothering, aside from Jordan documentary that gives you little sense of normalcy. The Jordan documentary is incredible.“
“I’ve never met Michael Jordan in person but I talked to him on phone one time. We were talking about some kind of shoe. I was on the phone and we were talking and everything was good until we get to end of the call and I said ‘Yo, man, when you gonna come to Detroit so I can dunk on you?“
After that, Paul and Em continue talking about the donation they are going to do for the DJs via The Marshall Mathers Foundation called “Love Your DJ” contest.
The program will offer DJs from Michigan the opportunity to submit their best custom mixes for the chance to have their mix air on Shade45 on SiriusXM, as well as receive a $313 cash payment – an homage to the Detroit area code. The first 500 qualified entries, in accordance with the rules, will receive the $313 cash prize. Of the first 500 entrants, 15 grand prize winners will be selected by a panel of judges from Shady Records to receive a chance for their mix to air on Shade45 as a part of the Love Your DJ Mixshow Takeover beginning May 2. Mixes will be judged on sound quality, originality, and texture of the entry, as it fits within the sound of Shade45 programming on SiriusXM.
During the Love Your DJ Mixshow Takeover, Eminem will also host his own show, “Music To Be Quarantined By,” featuring hip-hop songs he recommends listening to while at home beginning May 2 at Noon ET on Shade45.
