Lil Dicky references Eminem on the latest episode of “Dave” TV show

“Dave” is a new TV Show by Dave Burd and Jeff Schaffer in which a main character, Dave (played by Dave Burd himself, also know as Lil Dicky), is convinced he’s destined to be one of the greatest rappers of all time.

In one of the episodes of the show, Dave references Eminem and Kanye West. He says:

I’m the next Kanye West. Except, I’m white. It’s a s**ty reality but white rappers sell more. It sucks but it’s cold-heart truth. I hate that it’s true so I’m actually more like Eminem to the consumer. The highest selling rapper of all time.

Mike (played by Andrew Santino) interrupts: “Drake is… Drake is the highest selling rapper. He surpassed him this year.

This supposed to be funny but I’m pretty sure the writer of the TV Show actually thinks Drake is the highest selling rapper of all time, which is not true. Eminem still remains the highest selling and please don’t confuse streams with sales. Other than that, the episode was funny.
