HitsDailyDouble has released the predictions for the first week sales of newly released albums in the United States. There were three major releases: Eminem, Mac Miller and Halsey. The week’s top three new releases could combine for three-quarters of a million units in total activity—and it’s only the middle of January.
Halsey has a ticket bundle, and all three will benefit from D2C. The Mac Miller pop-up store on 1/17 in L.A. drew serious traffic, with a line stretching for blocks.
It looks like Eminem can not be outsold as “Music To Be Murdered By” is heading towards number one spot on Billboard 200 with 325,000 album-equivalent unites.
Check out the detailed projections provided by HDD below:
1. Eminem – “Music To Be Murdered By” – 325,000 (125,000 pure)
2. Halsey – “Manic” – 210,000 (160,000 pure)
3. Mac Miller – “Circles” – 200,000 (75,000 pure)
If “Music To Be Murdered By” debuts at No. 1 on Billboard, Eminem will break the record for most consecutive number one albums in history (10) which is currently hold by Kanye West and Eminem himself. (9-9)
