Global Music Industry Revenues totaled $19.1 billion in 2018, the biggest year since 2006

Global music industry revenues totaled $19.1 billion in 2018 across all formats, including hard-copies, digital and streaming platforms. This marks the biggest year for music since 2006. Among the biggest sellers were Post Malone, Ed Sheeran, Drake, Eminem and BTS.

Revival and Kamikaze sold over 3 million copies in 2018 worldwide. That’s roughly $33,000,000 in revenue and if we take into account Eminem’s old catalog, especially Curtain Call: The Hits, that are still selling strong, the revenue might hit $40,000,000. Check the announcement below:
