“Kamikaze” becomes the ONLY solo album to sell 500k pure copies released in 2018

After almost five months of its release, Eminem’s “Kamikaze” has sold more than 500,000 in traditional sales in the United States. It makes him the only solo artist to achieve this accolade and second musical act (Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s “A Star Is Born” soundtracks album did the same.)

“Kamikaze” sold 62% more copies in the first week than its predecessor “Revival” and finished the year as top selling hip-hop album (pure only). The album now holds the Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Meanwhile, traditional sales of “Revival” stands at 400,000 copies.
