Eminem’s “Recovery” becomes best selling album of the past decade by male

Eminem’s 2010 release, Recovery, has now officially received the status of Best Pure Selling Album by a Male Artist in the United State in the past decade. Yesterday, when we made the article about Eminem becoming best pure selling male artist of the decade, lots of people asked what does “pure sales” mean.

Let me explain: Pure sales DOES NOT include streamings from Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music and etc. When you go to the store and buy 1 CD of the album, it is 1 sale. Also, when you download the album digitally from, for example, iTunes, it also counts as 1 album sale. Both are included in “pure albums sales.”

Check out the best pure selling albums of the past decade by male artist in the United States below:

1. Eminem – Recovery – 4.87 million copies.

2. Michael Buble – Christmas – 4.38 million copies.

3. Justin Timberlake – The 20/20 Experience – 3.7 million copies
